7 Technology trends to dominate 2017

Personally, I am amazed at the technology trends we have. It is amazing to have the power to recover almost all information and communicate in a thousand different ways using a device that fits your pocket.

There is always something new on the horizon, and we can not just wait and wonder what are the technological wonders that follow.

As I see, there are seven major technology trends that we are reserving in 2017. If you look at a sector in which to start a business, one of these offers is a very good bet. If you are already an entrepreneur, think about how to leverage these technologies to reach your target audience in new ways.

1. IoT and Smart Home Tech

We hear about the next Internet-of-Things (IoT) revolution and the interconnection of intelligent home technologies for years. So what’s the asset? Why do not we all live today in smart, connected homes? Part of the problem is excessive competition, with insufficient collaboration: there are tons of devices and individual applications on the market, but few solutions to link together to a single, transparent user experience. Now that bigger companies already well-known in uniform user experiences (like Google, Amazon and Apple) are involved, I expect that we will see major advances on this front over the coming year.

2. AR and VR

We have already seen major advances for augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) technology in 2016. Oculus Rift was released, at a positive reception, and thousands of applications and VR games followed. We also saw Pokémon Go, a game of AR, exploding with over 100 million downloads. The market is ready for AR and VR, and we already have advanced devices and technologies for these applications, but next year before we see things really take off. Once they do, you will need to be prepared for the AR and VR versions of virtually everything – and many marketing opportunities to follow.

3. Machine Learning

Machine learning has progressed enormously in recent years, even helping and improving Google’s main search engine algorithm. But again, we’ve only seen it in a limited range of applications. Throughout the year 2017, I expect that the machine learning updates appear across the table, entering almost any type of consumer application that you can think of , By offering better recommended products based on past purchase history to gradually improve the user experience of an analytic application. It will not be long before machine learning becomes a kind of “normal new”, people expecting this type of artificial intelligence as a component of all forms of technology.

4. Automation

Marketers will (mostly) be delighted to learn that automation will become a bigger pole in and throughout 2017, with cutting-edge technology enabling automation of previously exclusive human tasks. We have had robotic journalists in circulation for a few years now, and I expect they will soon take another leap in more practical articles. It is likely that we will begin to see productivity skyrocket in a number of works of white collar type – and we will begin to see some jobs disappear completely. When automation is combined with machine learning, everything can improve even more quickly, so 2017 has the potential to be a truly historic year.

5. Humanized Big Data (Visual, emphatic, qualitative)

The great data has been an important topic for the past five years, when it began making headlines as a buzzword. The idea is that the massive amounts of data collected – to which we now have access – can help us in everything from planning better medical treatments to executing better marketing campaigns. But the greatest strength of important data, its quantitative and quantitative foundation, is also a weakness. In 2017, I expect that we will see progress in humanizing large data, looking for more empathic and qualitative data and projecting them in a more visual and accessible way.

6. Physical-digital integration

Mobile devices have slowly added technology to our daily lives. It is rare to see anyone without a smartphone at any given time, which gives us access to virtually endless information in the real world. We already have things like buying in-store sites, allowing online customers to buy and pick up products in a physical retail location, but the next level will be even more integrations between physical realities And digital. Online brands like Amazon will begin to have more physical products like Dash Buttons, and physical brands like Walmart will begin to have more digital features like store cards and product testing.

7. Everything on demand

Through brands like Uber; people get used to having everything on demand via phone applications. In 2017, I expect it to grow even further. We have thousands of applications available to get rides, food deliveries, and even a place to stay for the night, but soon we will see that it evolves into a foreign territory.

Anyone in the technology industry knows that making predictions about the future course of technology even a year is an exercise in futility. Surprises may come from a number of different directions, and advertised developments are rarely available.

Still, it is beneficial to predict what happens next so that you can prepare your marketing strategies (or your budget) accordingly. Anyway, it’s still fun to think about everything that happens next.
