Top 25 Companies 2017 by LinkedIn: Where India wants to work now

What is the common bond between India’s largest e-tailer, the world’s largest consulting firm, and a start-up in the hotel industry led by a 23-year-old college drop-out? These are the companies with which the Indian professionals engage, the companies where they are most concerned for the jobs and the companies that keep them. From Alphabet to Adobe and Ola to OYO Rooms, this year’s Top LinkedIn companies cover 10 industries. They are where India wants to work now.

The Top Companies list is based on billions of measures taken by the 500 million LinkedIn members. Our data team, in collaboration with our global editorial team, analyzed these actions to obtain a mixed score ranking the winners in each country.

Here are this year’s top 25 companies in India:


Flipkart has caught up with No. 1 for the second consecutive year despite many challenging challenges over the past few months. The 10-year-old company, synonymous with Indian e-commerce, has shaken up these problems to secure a record $ 1 billion in funding. It also plans to hire 3,000 full-time and temporary workers this year.

Number of employees in India: 30,000 (including contractors)

Time: employees over two years of age at Flipkart can take a professional break to pursue higher education, spend time with the family, or attend a medical emergency.

A personal welcome: on their first day, employees are picked up by chauffeur-driven cars and sent to the treasure hunt to familiarize themselves with the office.
